Michigan Tech responds to community needsFour experienced Michigan Tech faculty join together to help local communities understand the potential impacts of mine exploration and possible mining. While continuing to reach out to concerned citizens of affected areas with personal visits and information, a substantial effort is being made to secure grant moneys for the university to fund this important outreach program. These moneys would be used to gather and distribute science based information to all affected stake holders. It would include funds for University and local staff, fact sheets, web site, and town meeting expenses. |
